Austrian Operetta Festival 2006:
Mörbisch Festival on the Lake
Festival 2006:
13.7 - 27.8.2006
Franz Lehar's operetta
"The Count of Luxemburg"
The world's greatest operetta festival takes place
on one of the most beautiful open-air stages in
Europe. The appropriate setting is given by the
picturesque town of Mörbisch and the impressive
natural scenery of the ' Neusiedler See', sixty
kilometers far away from Vienna.
Today the stand comprises more than 6 000 seats and
offers to more than 220 000 visitors an acoustically
and visually unique event every year.
Under the direction of art director Professor Harald
Serafin the festival enjoys an international
reputation and has been established as a significant
promotor of classical operetta,
the Mecca for Operetta Lovers
The visitor to this Festival has not only an
excellent view of the stage from every seat, but can
even see as far as the Hungarian countryside.
The high artistic standard in all areas has made the
Mörbisch Lake Festival that which it is today:
an internationally recognised festival event and a
must for all operetta fans: an operetta mecca! |
